ABOUT US
The history of Cantine Balbiano has its roots in 1941 when its founder, Melchiorre Balbiano, decided to dedicate his life and work to the Freisa di Chieri: a indigenous vine of the Piedmontese region and, especially, of Turin.

For over 80 years, our love for the wines of Collina Torinese has been handed down from father to son: a dynasty devoted to the continuous reserach for quality, the defense of traditions and the promotion of the fruits of this unique territory, with a particular focus on the Freisa vine.

Visiting the two private collections dedicated to Peasant Tools and Antique Toys, you will discover the charm of Piedmontese traditions and beyond. BALBIANO MUSEUM
Franco Balbiano's passion for ancient objects, born more than 35 years ago, gave life to the Balbiano Museum. Two private collections made up of more than 2000 tools from Piedmontese peasant life. Over time, another passion for vintage toys also developed, almost by chance. We have therefore created a collection of over a thousand pieces, ranging from the late 19th century to the sixties of the 20th. In 2015, during the restyling of the labels, we created illustrations of our toys so as to create a link between our wine production and the collection.
