Description
An entirely Piedmontese specialty, Chinato is a wine further fermented with herbs, roots and spices, so called precisely because the main spice is China Calissaia. In this case the starting wine is our special Freisa di Chieri DOC Superiore “Vigna Villa della Regina”: its bitterish flavor is characteristic but in this case it is sweetened by an extract of cherries from the Slow Food Presidium of Pecetto.

An explosion of spices, with a light sweet nuance determined by the infusion of cherries which dampens the bitter flavour, making it balanced. Store in a cool place. It is advisable to avoid the refrigerator.
Pairings
Drinking it alone is exciting but by combining it correctly you discover a world. Classic companion of chocolate, preferably dark, almond-based desserts, spicy desserts, chestnut cakes and chestnut-based desserts.
