Description
A story that expresses royalty and resilience. Villa della Regina is a splendid seventeenth-century Savoy royal residence built on the model of Roman villas, whose identifying element was the vineyard. Bombed during the Second World War, Villa and Vigneto were abandoned for almost fifty years. After a long recovery work on the property carried out by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, our company took care of the complex and fascinating work of rebirth of the historic vineyard. Years of sacrifice, research and experimentation have made it possible to produce the only wine from Turin which obtained DOC recognition in 2011.
A perfect mix of exposure, terroir and microclimate makes Freisa di Chieri DOC Superiore “Vigna Villa della Regina” one of the most extraordinary expressions of this vine. A long-aging wine of great elegance and complexity. Soft tannins and tertiary sensations, which recall black pepper, tobacco and leather, make this wine the perfect match for mature cheeses, spicy first courses and game.

The fruity scents give way to spicy scents, such as leather, tobacco, cloves. On the palate it presents a well-balanced flavor between soft tannins and acidity: all characteristics worthy of representing a wine of royal lineage.
Vinification
Brief maturation in wood followed by cement and subsequent refinement in bottle.
Pairings
Excellent with mature and blue cheeses, stuffed pasta, tasty meat sauces, meat second courses such as game and land-sea dishes.
