Balbiano Malvasia di Castelnuovo Don Bosco DOC 2022

Malvasia
di Castelnuovo
Don Bosco DOC
2023

Description

The name "Malvasia" derives from Monembasia, a Byzantine stronghold south of the Peloponnese, where sweet wines were produced which were then exported throughout Europe by the Venetians. Today it is an extremely widespread vine and is known in its white berry version except for Piedmont where, over the centuries, nature has created two of the few black berry varieties of Malvasia, called Malvasia di Schierano and Malvasia nera lunga.
